my first day at yehey after a long, long time
i went back to work today after a 2 week break. i missed the different personalities in yehey. seriously, i really love the people there.

the week started our really bad for me. having to find out something really messed up from my friend... i was definitely, definitely, dumbfounded, hurt, and disappointed. good thing i had friends like these (well, not only them) who are always there for me. thanks a bunch you guys! it was really fun hanging out with you. here's to more dinners (dinner na talaga yan ha), coffee (coffee dapat talaga!!) and beer (well, not soo much of that... i'm really not fond of beer...).

the girls who helped me survive college
hongster :)
the girl who has always been there for me since day 1 of college. good thing we were in the same block. it really strengthened our friendship. we have been with each other since 3rd year high school but college really made us who we are now. we've been through a lot of tough times and she is probably the person who will truly bonk me in the head if i've done something terribly, terribly wrong. thnx gwcie for keeping me grounded! :)

if i knew grace since 3rd year college, i've known anne since grade 4? she was a drummer back then. harhar. she has really changed a lot but one thing that will never change is our friendship. anne has been there through all of my happy and sad moments. she's been my shoulder to cry on. my laugh trip buddy. my food trip buddy. the person who kept me sane in school. the girl i will always look for since i've spent every single day with her for the past 2 years. i miss you girl! :)

5 types of guys you'll need in college
i came across this article in seventeen that was a tribute to the 5 guys you'll need in college. right now, i'm assessing who those people were. although there aren't just five of them, i just classified them into the categories in the magazine. haha. :)
1. the one who's seen you in diapers a.k.a the childhood friend
tien lim
although i didn't really know tien before college, i could probably say that he seems as the one person who would really take care of me. why? probably because he knows my mom so well and that he wants to keep the trust. haha. :) also, i can't deny the fact that sometimes he's super kulit but he really knows me soo well. well enough that he could predict what i'm thinking and who i like or what my type is. over the past four years, he let me grow, but he kept me grounded.
***super funny: he just texted me, kins, may ginawa ba akong di kanaisnais kagabi? how would you take care of me if you can't remember a thing when you're drinking? haha.. joke lang.. :)
2. the one who thinks like a girl a.k.a. the shy and sensitive guy

he's really very shy and sensitive. i knew him in high school but i didn't really know him that well because he was really so quiet. i just got really close to him in first year college. he's the type of person who makes me sermon about life and love in the caf, the car, on the phone (actually, almost anywhere... together with anne.. haha...) he's really a hopeless romantic and he tries to relate to every single situation that you are in. he's very mature for his age, having to take care of 3 younger brothers who are definitely very different from him. he understands the necessity of venting and expressing your feelings and doesn't really recommend drinking as a solution to your problems.

both of these guys, moby and nico were not really rebels but they probably knew the way of the world throughout high school. they aren't the typical "bad boy" types that our mothers would want us to stay away from.. but they were definitely not pampered and they did some things that made them know more about the world than me. they are the people who makes me think about the consequences of the things that i'm planning to do. they are the people who asks me to think over things a million times before doing what i want to do. they're the type of peole who'll take care of you during your inuman nights (as seen in the picture.. haha). they're also the people who you want to be with when you definitely want fun and laughter for the whole night.

moby was probaly the only person who stuck by me when i wanted to do something really wrong. not because he's a rebel. no, of course not. but because he knew that it was what i wanted and that it would make me happy. he's really such a sweetheart cause all he ever wants to happen is for his friends to be happy with whatever they want in their life. sige lang ng sige, diba? but of course, before hand, we also have to think about the consequences of our actions. AND, we must be ready to face them when the time comes. another good lesson that i learned from moby was to stop thinking and start acting. yup, in our life, we waste soo much time thinking that we lose time already to do the stuff that we ought to do. by the time that we have decided what course of action we would or should take, wala na... time passed us by already. but of course, there are certain times when we have to take time out to think about and evaluate things, such as letting go of the things that we got so used to already. time is all that we need... ;)

my first year buddy. my friend. my wala-akong-ride driver. hehehe. :P super thanks nico for everything. for making me hitch with you to school and from school whenever i didn't have a ride home. thanks for listening to me rant about stuff. for being really patient with us eversince first year and for the worry beads that you gave us. i think i may still have it. also, i still have the doggy stuff toy you gave me for my 18th birthday! harharhar. shit. tagal na nun! but super thanks for all the memories and for teaching us to RELAX and enjoy the ride. to take stuff as it comes and not to worry all the time. you were really more than just a friend, you were a brother to all of us. you were super patient especially with tien, me, and grace. we'll really miss you noh! hahaha. basta inuman tayo when you get back here. i know naman that even if you're going to be far from us, things won't ever change because that's just who you are the relaxed boy who could take on anything. the person who will take any challenge that comes in his way. the person who will do anything to succeed through hardwork and diskarte..hahaha.. but seriously, pag sa diskarte..shit..sobrang idol kita! hehe :P

yep.. he's the guy who people would think of as a "bad boy" at first glance but he's a really nice person. he probably cleaned up his act when he came back to UA&P after his CSB year. he's the person who you can count on to help you with numerous things starting from ACM stuff to Techmarket. I'm really proud of this person. he surely came a long, long way and i've really seen the effort that he put into his leadership! :)
4. the one who gets you out of trouble a.k.a. the "big brother"
carlo tibung
the older brother of nico. knew him since first year college and he pretty much taught us the ropes of college. he introduced us to a couple of his friends and encouraged us to go into IT. hmm... he's super smart and he taught me how to program. i probably learned more from him than from my teachers. haha. just kidding. :) when i didn't have a ride home, he'd gladly take me home also since my house was on the way to theirs. and even if it's raining, he's such a sweet person that he'd pick us up in stella and not let us walk under the rain! yay! :)
fritz espinosa
together with carlo, they were my tutor. they would go to my place at ungodly hours and teach me how to program. i'd just feed them and that was enough already! haha. but those nights were really helpful. they really helped me a lot in IT and they actually egged me to go through with it even if i was giving up already. he's one person i'm really proud of. he's got one of the highest GWA in school, he's in the badminton varsity and he's a really nice friend. an all-around guy really! :)
ms. maria, chippy, vince, ivan
the guy who believed in me and what i can do for the institute. the person who encouraged me to do really well in school because he knew that the payback was great. the agustinian who believed that all of us, agustinians, can prove to other people that we're not "conyo". haha. as other people thought of us. the person who gave me great advices and shared his own experiences about school.

the guy who's always in the lab. he was a witness to everything that happened in the lab. he was always there for us whenever we needed help especially in PHP. and when things got crazy, he was really the shoulder that i cried on to in the lab. haha. literally. thnx soo much affie! :)
